ColoradoBiz Magazine Names Alert Management Systems Top 100 Woman Owned Company

Alert Management Systems Named Top 100 Women-Owned Companies by ColoradoBiz Magazine

ColoradoBiz Magazine held their annual Women-Owned Companies reception on June 20, 2019. We were thrilled to learn that Alert Management Systems was named one of the top 100 Women-Owned Businesses in Colorado!

According to the publication, “Each year, ColoradoBiz does extensive research, collects industry data and facilitates reader voting to produce various business rankings.”

“The rental industry is beginning to experience a demographic shift from principally male-owned and operated rental businesses. More and more women are assuming leadership and ownership roles in rental, and Alert Management Systems is extremely proud to be leading the charge in this shift” says Mary Crosslin, Co-President and COO of Alert. “We’ve long known how smart and capable women are at being entrepreneurial, and it’s such an honor to be recognized by ColoradoBiz as one of the leading woman-owned businesses in our state.”

“When Mary and I completed our management buyout of Alert in 2016, one of our goals was to bring more awareness to women as business leaders and owners. We’re participants in the American Rental Association’s Women in Rental group and are excited to sponsor this event at the upcoming ARA Show in Orlando in February, 2020″ notes Kara Longmire, Co-President and CEO of Alert Management Systems. “Representation of women in the rental industry is lacking, and Alert is proud to be in the forefront of this movement. Many on our own management team at Alert are women, and we feel that women in supervisory roles offer a unique benefit to our employees. When Mary and I became owners, the very first changes we instituted at Alert were to the benefit of our employees. When our staff is happy, so are our clients!”

“The next task is becoming designated through the Small Business Administration as a Woman Owned Small Business” continues Longmire. “We’ll be properly positioned to offer our larger clients and government contractors the opportunity to make change by doing business with a WOSB.”
